Dearly Beloved, I trust this email finds you well and bubbling in the Lord. While Jesus was on earth, He sent out 70 disciples in pairs to cities He would later visit (Luke 10).

They came back to Him and joyfully reported certain things.

These included their authority over demons using the name of Jesus. Jesus let them know they should be glad that their names were written in heaven.

He then let them know that some of the things they were privy to, others did not know them, and the Father was the One who chose to reveal it to them.

Luke 10v17-24 (TLB): 17 When the seventy disciples returned, they joyfully reported to him, "Even the demons obey us when we use your name."

18 "Yes," he told them, "I saw Satan falling from heaven as a flash of lightning!

19 And I have given you authority over all the power of the Enemy, and to walk among serpents and scorpions and to crush them. Nothing shall injure you!

20 However, the important thing is not that demons obey you, but that your names are registered as citizens of heaven."

21 Then he was filled with the joy of the Holy Spirit and said, "I praise you, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for hiding these things from the intellectuals and worldly wise and for revealing them to those who are as trusting as little children. Yes, thank you, Father, for that is the way you wanted it.

22 I am the Agent of my Father in everything; and no one really knows the Son except the Father, and no one really knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him."

23 Then, turning to the twelve disciples, he said quietly, "How privileged you are to see what you have seen.

24 Many a prophet and king of old has longed for these days, to see and hear what you have seen and heard!"

Prayer

FFather, we thank You for the honour of being Your children. We thank You because we will spend eternity with You. We thank You because even now we are seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus, far above principalities and powers. We thank You for the authority we have through the name of Jesus. Blessed be Your holy name.

Thank You for the great and mighty things You continue to reveal to us. Thank You for Your Spirit in us and with us showing us things to come. Blessed be Your name forevermore.

We pray to the Lord of the harvest that He will send forth labourers into His harvest that those who do not know You will come to know You. Thank You Father, Son and Holy Spirit in Jesus name we pray, amen.
